Have you just purchased your sewing machine and don’t know where to start?
Would you like to know more about it?
Not sure about what it can do or how to do it?
Learning to sew can seem like a daunting task, but I will take you on a sewing journey that will inspire you on to greater and bigger sewing projects. This full day workshop is for beginners who wish to learn how to use a sewing machine & learn how to sew.
Firstly I will show you how to use your machine, how to set it up, how to thread up, look at its different stitches and functions, practice different techniques and learn how to get the most and best from your machine. I will also show you how to take care of your machine with simple machine maintenance.
Having learnt some sewing techniques on your machine you will learn the basics of sewing by making a simple and easy project. You will be amazed at what you can achieve, you can take your creations home for your friends and family to admire!

Basic techniques of how to sew
How to cut out using a simple pattern
Pinning and Marking
Tips on cutting out
How to finish seams and reversing
Tips on sewing in a straight line
How to sew perfect corners & curves
About embroidery stitches
Which feet to use for the best results
How to insert a basic zip
And probably a lot more!
All materials for this workshop will be provided on the day.
This workshop will take place in the sewing studio and be limited to a maximum of 4 Students so that you gain the maximum amount of tuition on the day
